not much to write about today's pre game. the Phillies are looking to sweep the awful Dodgers on the last day of their road trip. the Dodgers meanwhile will be trying to salvage something out of this predictably awful three game set.
if there is a bright spot today I guess you could say at least we dont have to go up against another cy young winner right? nope, just a guy whos 8-1 against the league, with a 2.35 ERA. oh and by the way did I mention hes a rookie? yes Vance Worley is actually the Phillies number 5 guy. pretty sickening.
anyways the Dodgers will counter with Chad Billingsley. Bills who won his last start against Arizona, giving him 10 wins this year, and five straight seasons of at least 10 wins. Bills is no cy young, but hes always been a good pitcher. he still is despite more of an up and down year.
no word yet on the results of Dee Gordon's MRI. as soon as we hear any results we will pass them along to you. Gordon re-injured his shoulder during last night's game, he orignally injured it by diving to tag out Kelly Johnson in a rundown in Arizona. as he dove to apply the tag, he landed hard on his shoulder. as of right now, he is still listed as day to day.
today is another throwback day as the Dodgers will be wearing their throwback brooklyn 1940's uniform again.
