Houston had a big problem tonight at Dodger stadium, and his name is Clayton Kershaw. Kershaw shutdown Houston tonight, as a young inexperienced Astros team made several costly errors, and Matt Kemp hit his 27th homerun as the Dodgers win game two. Kershaw picks up hia 14th win.

Kershaw has a 123 inning in the top of the first. the dodgers make two good defensive plays to start the game.  Bourgeois hits a groundball that goes through Kershaw's legs, Sellers is there to throw him out. Altuve grounds out, and J.D. MArtinez sends Kemp to the wall, as the Astros are retired in order.

the bottom of the first inning goes very well for the Dodgers. Carroll leads off with a little groundball, Carlos Lee coming off the bag throws it behind Wandy Rodriguez. Carroll is aboard on Lee's 5th error of the season. Mattingly decides to give away another out again, and has Blake bunt, he ends up Bunting out to Lee. so we waste another out. Ethier hits into a force out at second. Carroll is erased.
Bison strolls to the plate, and blasts one into the left field bleachers! 2-0 Dodgers! Bison's 27th homer and he now has 88 RBIs. Rivera grounds out ending the inning.

Kemp blasts his 27th homerun

Kershaw overcomes typical rangeless Dodger defense. Lee strikes out looking, Paredes a little dribbler that carroll couldnt handle. Paredes steals second on a Big Rod throw that was nowhere near second base. Michaels strikes out swinging, but Big Rod drops the ball, then proceeds to tumble over and fall down, like a useless 280LB piece of driftwood. this allows the runner to reach first. its a passed ball and wild pitch. Barmes pops out, and Coroporan grounds into a force out, and thats all for the  Astros in the second inning.

in the bottom of the second inning, Big Rod whiffs, gwynn triples down the right field line. Sellers walks, and Kershaw tried to bunt but couldnt, then swung away and hits into an inning ending double play. still 2-0 Dodgers.

top of the third, we see Rodriguez flies out to Kemp. Bourgeois strikes out. Altuve hits a fly ball to center that Kemp loses in the lights and it bounces over his head and over the wall for a ground rule double, I guess it happends to everyone. Oy.  it was all good though, as Martinez hits another fly ball to Kemp, this time Kemp's got it.

Carroll singles to open the bottom of the third, but Blake grounds into a double play and Ethier grounds out.

Kershaw pitches a 123 inning in the of the 4th, striking out Paredes and Michaels.

Rodriguez retires the Dodgers in order in the bottom of the 4th. striking out Kemp and Rivera, and Barmes making a great diving play on Big Rod's grounder.

moving to the 5th, Sellers makes a great play on Barmes grounder to the hole, but Barmes beats the throw by a step. Corporan strikes out swinging, Rodriguez sacrifices Barmes to second, but Kershaw strikes out bourgeois on a high fastball.

the Dodgers score two runs in the bottom half of the 5th as Houston has a team meltdown. Gwynn leads off with a base hit to right. Gwynn steals second, and Sellers singles him to third. its Sellers first big league hit. they throw the ball into the dugout. then the game turns into a buntapalooza. and we know much Mattingly loves to bunt. the Dodgers pull the suicide squeeze, as Kershaw drops down a perfect bunt, which scores Gwynn. 3-0 Dodgers! mattingly is licking his chops. Carroll then bunts, and Paredes throw to first is too high and pulls Lee of the bag. E5 on Paredes. Blake's sac fly to right scorees Sellers as he slides in safly. 4-0 Dodgers. theres a passed ball that sends the runners to second and third. Ethier grounds out, Kemp is intentionally walked, and Rivera grounds out ending the inning.

Justin Sellers scores his first big league run

in the top of the 6th, Altuve strikes out, Martinez pops out, Lee walks, Paredes reaches on an infield single, that Carroll cant field as usual.but Michaels fouls out to Rivera and the Dodgers get out of the inning.

the Dodgers score another run in the 6th. Gwynn singles. andvances to second on Sellers ground out.  Gwynn then steals third, while Corporan's throw goes overn Paredes head into left field. Gwynn scores as the Dodgers now lead 5-0.

Kershaw retires the side in order in the top of the 7th.

Some guy named Fulchino relieves Roriguez in the bottom of the 7th inning. With 1 out, Blake singles, Ethier's flare single sends Blake to third. Kemp strikes out, then Rivera singles scoring Blake, more scorage for the Dodgers now up 6-0. Big Rod walks, Gwynn flys out.

Carroll's defensive ineptitude costs kershaw his shutout. Bourgeois hist a pop fly single, that Carroll just gives up on and lands in front of him. Altuve fouls out. Martinez doubles down the line scoring Bourgeois, 6-1 Dodgers. Lee whiffs, and on Paredes ground ball to Blake, Martinez runs right into the tag. Kershaw gets through the 8th. thus far he has made 112 pitches.

in the bottom of the 8th and Lopez pitching for Houston, Sellers strikes out, Oeltjen bats for Kersh and strikes out.
this ends the night for Kershaw he goes out winning 6-1. he makes 112 pitches, going 8 innings, allowing 1 run on 6 hits, with 1 walk, and 9 strikeouts.

move to the top of the 9th, with the Dodgers leading 6-1. Elbert comes in to finish the game.  and pitches a 123 inning and the Dodgers win. :)

its always nice to see a team worse than us isnt it dodger fans? join us tomorrow as Hiroki Kuroda will take the mound for a 110PM game, as the Dodgers try and sweep. Have a great night Dodger fans!

GO BLUE!
