Clayton Kershaw-13-4 vs. Ian Kennedy-13-3

todays game three in Arizona featueres a battle of two 13 game winning pitchers, and two of the best young pitchers in the league. Clayton Kershaw will square off against Ian Kennedy.
Kershaw is coming off one of the greatest months of any Dodger Pitcher. Kershaw finished the month of July with a 4-1 record, and a 2.02 ERA. to earn him NL pitcher of the month award. Kershaw is 13-4 overall with a 2.68 ERA, and a league leading 177 strikeouts. Kershaw will continue his run for the CY Young today, as he looks for his 14th win. Kershaw is a career 5-1 against Arizona with a stingy 1.90 ERA.

Kennedy is coming off of five straight victorys, and Kennedy has had five quality starts in a row. Kennedy has pitched well against the Dodgers in the past, and is 2-1 lifetime against the boys in blue.

Gordon is still a bit sore so hes sitting out today, Carroll will play shortstop, and Miles is at third base. and when are the Dodgers are going to stop wasting a roster spot on Velez? Navarro will catch Kershaw and bat 7th.

the Dodgers will try for the sweep today, and with a win today will finish by having won 5 out of 6 on this current roadtrip. they have the right man on the mound for the job. after todays game the Dodgers return home for a six game homestand starting with three against Philadelphia and then three with Houston. the Dodgers are now in third place in the NL west, 9 games behind the Giants for first.

so the Dodgers go for the sweep with their ace on the mound. this should be an interesting game. stay with us after the game for our postgame recap. game time is 110PM on Prime Ticket. go blue!
