Dodgers Arrive in Colorado for First Road Trip

Dodgers @ Rockies
Game 1
5:40 pm

Clayton Kershaw will go to the mound in his second outing of the year in Colorado. He will face Jhoulys Chacin in his first start of the season for the Rockies. Last year Chacin faced the Dodgers in 6 starts and had a 3-3 record with a 2.87 ERA. Kershaw, the young phenom,  is coming off of a splendid opening day start where he pitched 7 scoreless innings and struck out 9 Giants. Against Colorado, Clayton has a record of 5-3 in 13 starts and a 3.63 ERA. Last season he was 3-0 against them with a 2.10 ERA.

Watch for James Loney who plays exceptionally well in the mile high city. He has a .319 average with 44 RBIs.

Also keep track of Jonathan Broxton's saves. He needs two more to tie Takashi Saito's 81 saves for 8th place in Dodgers franchise history. The record holder is Eric Gagne with 161 saves. Broxton has 3 saves this season so far (and no total meltdowns yet.)

The Dodgers look to add to their 3-1 record. Colorado is 1-1 after their Sunday game was postponed due to rain.

Lineup:

Furcal 6
Gwynn 7
Ethier 9
Kemp 8
Loney 3
Uribe 5
Barajas 2
Carroll 4
Kershaw 1

Looks like a strong lineup tonight, with Gwynn in left field for needed speed out there in Coors Field.

Let's show Mullet Man and Cargo what we have this season! Go Blue!!
