site maintenance causes DBF time warp.

hello all! sorry for the delay.  Google our blog hosting providor, has been experiencing problems. google shut down the entire site all of yesterday, because of reported maintenance issues. unfortunatly after google applied their fix, all posts from yesterday and wend. were deleted. we werent able to backup in time.
as a result were going to go ahead and give you a quick update, about what happened on the last two games of the road trip, and then move on to our regularly scheduled game tonight.

so in case your wondering, no were not going back in time.....(this is heavy doc!) but if you would like hop into your deloreans and lets take you back to 2 nights ago. the Dodgers having come off of a 10-3 win the night before, beat the pirates 2-0, to effectivly win the series. Hiroki Kuroda, beat Paul Maholm. the Dodgers scored both of their runs in the 6th inning. after two walks and an infield single, Juan Uribe's double play grounder scored Ivan Dejesus. after an intentional walk to Big Rod, Jerry Sands' run scoring double plated Ethier, and the Dodgers held on to win 2-0. Kuroda pitched 7 shutout innings, plowing through the Buc's lineup. Kuroda pitched 7, allowing only 3 hits and struck out 8.

the next night, last night, the game was cancelled because of rain. they were able to play two innings, that didnt count. Jon Garland, was slotted to pitch against Charlie Morton. the Dodgers scored a run in the top of the second, after Navarro doubled, Carroll beat out an infield single, Garland himself, singled to right, to score Navarro. they did finish the second inning, before the game went into rain delay. after about two hours, the game was cancelled, with no make up date announced.

Stac also wrote up a nice piece about how we were sad to learn we had lost a true blue favorite, when Hong-Chih Kuo was placed on the 15 day DL due to an anxiety disorder, related to the bout of yips he has been suffering from this year. Stac wrote about how he was the longest tenured Dodger, and a true blue DBF favorite. (stupid google) Im sure she will have more information about Kuo tonight to catch anyone up that missed this due to googles issues. the Dodgers have called up Scott Elbert to take his place on the roster.

also Stac will have more on saturday's special post we will be doing live from the stadium! Stac and I will both be in attendance for saturdays game! we will have more on this later.

the Dodgers return home tonight to begin a 7 game homestand with Clayton kershaw on the mound. they will play a three game series against Arizona, two games against Milwaukee, and two with the giants.
the Dodgers are now 18-20, in third place in the NL west. Stac will have the regular pregame up later.
we will work on preforming a full backup this week. thank you for your understanding, and we apologize for the delay. go blue!
