Jon Garland-1-2 vs. Charlie Morton-4-1

the Dodgers look to "buc" their current trend of mediocrity, by being able to secure their first winning roadtrip of the season. the dodgers have split the first six games on this roadtrip, amazingly enough, after losing the first two out of three.
the Dodgers may be riding high, after Hiroki Kuroda's Gutty performence last night, completly shutting down the bucs lineup, recieving two runs off a double play grounder, and a sands run scoring double. it would be all Kuroda would need, as the Dodgers beat the bucs 2-0.

Jon Garland will go to the mound for the Dodgers. he is 1-2, on the year, but has pitched very well, coming off a solid start. he has always pitched well against the pirates, going 2-2 with a 2.25 era over the last five seasons. the bucs, will counter with righty Charlie Morton. Morton coming off a terrible year last year, has rebounded to have a very good start this year. his era is 3.13, and he has won four out of 5 decisions. however he has not pitched all that great against the Dodgers, going 0-1 with a 4.50 era with only 8 strikeouts.

*please not that Lyle Overbay has crushed Jon Garland in the past to a tune of a .353 Average and 2 homeruns, lets see if he is in the lineup today and if he factors in the outcome.* (hopefully he will not be in the lineup then)

the Dodgers are now 18-20 in third place, only 3 games behind col/sf. the giants and rockies have tied for first place, the rockies have lost 7 out of their last 10 games, and are only percentage points ahead of the giants. game time is at 405 on PT. after the game, the Dodgers will fly back home to begin a 7 game homstand against, Arizona, Giants, and Milwaukee.
lets also wish a speedy recovery to hong-chih Kuo, as we were very sad to learn he was placed on the DL with an anxiety disorder, connected to his yips that he has had this year. heres to hoping Kuo makes a full recovery! cheers!

GO BLUE!
