12 Game Homestand Opens With Reds Series

Reds @ Dodgers
7:10pm
Game 1
Ethier & Kemp Need Your All-Star Vote!
The Dodgers will begin their longest homestand of the season today. They will start with a three game series with Cincinnati then they will host the Astros, Tigers, and Angels. Coming off a wild Colorado series, the Dodgers look to settle their reeling bullpen yet continue with the offensive charge they had in Denver. The Dodgers are 5 games under .500 in 4th place and 6.5 games back of the Giants.

Hiroki Kuroda (5-7, 3.35) has a good ERA, but in his last three losses, he has only garnered 2 measly runs from his supporting offense. His 7 losses really don't reflect his pitching ability. Kuroda is 3-1 in his career against the Reds, with a 2.55 ERA in 4 starts. There's rumors that he would be a possible trade candidate if the Dodgers start selling off players, but Kuroda relocated his family from Japan to play in Los Angeles and most likely would not want to uproot them again to play in a different city. Bronson Arroyo (4-6, 5.28) will go to the mound for the Reds. Arroyo has already allowed 16 homeruns this season, so Bison and others will be looking to take advantage of this weakness. Kemp already has 2 homeruns against Arroyo and is hitting .353 off him. Back on June 3rd, Arroyo defeated the Dodgers allowing only 1 earned run in 6 innings pitched.

Lineup:

Gordon 6
Miles 4
Ethier 9
Kemp 8
Loney 3
Uribe 5
Navarro 2
Gwynn 7
Kuroda 1

Let's go for three wins in a row, Dodger fans! Go Blue:)
