Aaron Harang-7-2 vs. Rubby De La Rosa-3-4

that was some game last night wasnt it? after bills gave us 8 shutout innings, Hit Machine's go-ahead groundball single in the 8th gave us a slim 1-0 lead.
when Guerra loaded the bases in the 9th, I was almost numb. I couldnt belive we would be seeing another meltdown in the 9th. I was almost sure of it. I have no anger left in me. then something interesting and awsome happened, Guerra got pissed. he struck out pinch hitter Kyle Phillips, then struck out Venable on three straight cutters, and when Bartlett hit that liner to center, my heart almost sank, but Bison was there to make the grab, and the dodgers steal a huge win.

despite loading the bases, Guerra was quite impressive. Stac isnt so much impressed with him, but I am. I see some great potential. hes got that 96-97 cut fastball that he can use as an out pitch, and he used it last night. yes it was almost a near meltdown, but it wasnt. he got out of it, and striking out two in a row like that was very good. I was thinking that Guerra has got ice in his veins.......well whatever, its a win and well take it.

todays game the Dodgers face the padres in game two, with the allstar break fast approaching.
were heading into the backend of our starting rotation, so the odds of us winning get less likly.

the pitching matchup for today, has someone on the mound for San Diego that were very familiar with. righty Aaron Harang. Harang has had a good year, going 7-2 with a 3.71 ERA.  the Dodgers have faced Harang quite a bit over the years, and he is 3-6 lifetime against the Dodgers with an ERA over 5.00. alot of Dodgers have had success against him over the years, but the Dodger whos had the biggest success is Aaron Miles. Miles is hitting .375 against Harang, in 16 AB.
the Dodgers will counter with rookie Rubby De La Rosa. DLR has never faced the Padres, and is 3-4 on the season.

in other news, Frank Mccourt has fired Dodgers legend, former mvp steve Garvey. Garvey who you might remember formed an investment group, along with Orel hershiser, in an attempt to buy the team, if Mccourt is forced to sell.
Mccourt being the scumbag that he is fired garvey from his marketing job yesterday.

also there is some sort of fan boycott scheduled for today's game. the boycott is for fans to voice there hatred of Frank Mccourt, and also raise money for the Bryan Stow fund. well see how this affects the attendance today.

todays game is on at 110PM, nationally televised on FOX. go blue!
