Ted Lilly-9-13 vs. Stephen Strasburg-0-0

Tonight the Dodgers and Nationals will play game number two of this four game series, as tonight is supposed to mark the return of Stephen Strasburg, the Rookie Phenom who blew out his arm last year, and had to have season ending Tommy John Surgery. his Career which has been fueled by Hype alone will once again be on center stage in Washington D.C.
however we might have to wait a bit, until tomorrow, since it is currently raining right now in the nation's capital, and its looking like the game will be rained out, and made up tomorrow as part of a doubleheader.

Lets cover some blue news that has been going on. the Dodgers have called up three players from Albuquerque now that there season has ended. the three call ups are Fedex, Ely, and Sands, and thats it. I expect Fedex and Sands to get some laying time to determine what they could do for next year, although theres not many games left, so its now or never.
im interested in seeing Fedex, the catcher we got in the Trayvon Robinson trade. well see what kind of playing time Mattingly gives them down the stretch.
Ely is just for depth, but I'm sure hell get into a game or two before the season is over. he has had a terrible year in Albuquerque, so I'm not real eager to see him pitch again.

Ted Lilly will pitch tonight for the Dodgers admits all the hoopla. Lilly is 9-13 and 4-3 against Washington.
Lilly has won his last two starts, so I'm hoping he can get the Dodgers back on track.

I've never seen Strasburg pitch before, so this should be interesting if weather allows. he is on a strict 60 pitch limit, so he should pitch about 4-5 innings, and Brad Peacock will relieve him. (Ha! what a name for a pitcher right?)
also Stac is coming back to do Saturday's game so I can have a day off. this place isn't the same without her.

the game time has at 405PM televised on KCAL. it looks pretty likely to be a rainout. if it is, I have a special treat for you guys. DBF has an interview with a Cardinal Blogger!

I had recently visited http://www.cardinal70.com/   This is a very well written informative Cardinal Blog Site run by Mr. Daniel Shoptaw, and a member of the United Cardinal Blogger Alliance. his RedBird site has won awards for top blog Cardinal blog sites. I can understand why.
Daniel and I spoke about Cardinal fans viewpoints on free agency, the division races, the Dodgers ownership situation, MLB expanded playoffs, realignment, and other Baseball related stuff. its very interesting to hear the viewpoints of other teams fans. if the game is rained out, I will post it up. his responses are very interesting. if the game is played then Ill post it after the game recap. so check back in with us, and lets hope this rain rain goes away and comes around another day, out there at least. its about 100 degrees out here in southern california. lets see what happens. GO BLUE
