The Dodgers and Kuroda finally got back on track tonight. on Star Wars night at Dodger Stadium, (???) Kuroda battled a sore neck to tap into the force and The Dodgers beat the Pirates 7-2, behind another solid effort for Kuroda as he picked up his 12th win. Obi-Wan would be proud guys. Kuroda held the Pirates to just one earned run and two runs total, while walking two and whiffing 7.
The Dodgers could only muster three runs off of noob Locke, but took advantage and scored four runs off of the Pittsburgh bullpen. Locke only lasted three innings, allowing three runs.
Dee Gordon went 2 for 4 with two runs scored, Kemp went 2 for 4 getting his 111th RBI of the season. and Loney hit a three run pinch hit home run that put the game out of reach for good.

Kuroda pitches 6 innings allowing 1 earned run and whiffing 7

The Pirates got on the board first in the top of the second off of Kuroda. Garret Jones singled. Ludwick flied out, Alvarez walked.  Cedeno's grounder to short, scores Jones, as the Dodgers get a force out at second base, but Gordon's throw was bad and gets away for an error. remember with Gordon it's going to be a learning curve, he's going to make some mistakes. 1-0 Pittsburgh. Kuroda whiffs Locke to end the inning.

The Dodgers tie it up in the bottom half of the second. Sands and Big Rod both lead off with doubles, tying up the game at 1-1.

The Dodgers take the lead in the bottom of the third. Gordon a  bloop single, Sellers walks. Bison an RBI single to score Gordon. 2-1 Dodgers. Rivera's fielder's choice scores Sellers, while Kemp is cut down at second base. 3-1 Dodgers. Sands pops out, Big Rod walks, but Mitchell grounds into a force.

Kemp drives in his 111th run
Kuroda whiffs the side in the top of the fourth. Lee, Jones, and Ludwick all strike out. Kuroda is awesome even when he is tired and sore.

Daniel McCutchen relieves Hughes in the 5th inning. he whiffs Kemp, gets Rivera to ground out. allows a walk to Sands, but Sands is thrown out trying to steal second.

Presley hits his third homer
Alex Presley homers to lead off the 6th, as Kuroda began to tire out. Walker and Doumit both single. but Kuroda is like a ninja on the mound. he gets Lee and Jones to pop out, and whiffs Ludwick to end the frame.

Carroll dives for a ball in the 6th inning.
With the Dodgers up 3-2 in the bottom of the 6th, McCutchen whiffs Big Rod, allows a single to Mitchell. Carroll singles Mitchell to second. Miles bats for Kuroda, and dunks a single into shallow center. everyone moves up 90 feet. bases loaded. the Pirates make a pitching change and bring in Moskos. Gordon grounds into a force which scores Mitchell. 4-2 Dodgers. there is another pitching change, Enter Respo. Gordon steals second, but that steal wouldn't matter because, Loney comes off the bench to hit for Sellers, and homers deep into the Chavez Ravine night. Loney's 10th homer of the season! 7-2 Dodgers!
Kemp's ground out ends the 6th inning.

Kuo pitches a scoreless 7th inning, and the Dodgers go down 123 in the bottom of half.

Scott Elbert pitches a scoreless 8th inning as well. only allowing a Doumit single.

Guerrier provided his typical sketchiness in the top of the 9th. but this is the perfect situation to bring him in with a 5 run lead, you just have to watch him so the game doesn't get away.
he whiffs Jones, but Ludwick reaches on a Gordon error. theres a passed ball that sends Ludwick to second. Alvarez walks. Cedeno flies out to left, and our old fiend Xavier Paul (Xman), whiffs on a breaking ball to end the game.

The Dodger bullpen was great again, pitching three shutout innings, and another win puts us at 74-76. we need just 7 wins for a winning season.
tomorrow join us again as another former Dodger James Macdonald (Jmac) will go up against lefty Ted Lilly, in game three of this four game series. check in with us at 710. good game tonight. Lets keep away from the dark side for another night shall we? T.G.I.F. Dodger fans. GO BLUE
