Wandy Rodriguez-8-8 vs. Clayton Kershaw-13-5

Dodgers Ace Clayton Kershaw will take the mound in game two as he loks for his 14th win. the Dodgers fresh off their walk off win last night, are looking to score some runs for kersh, but that could prove difficult, because there facing one of the toughest pitchers at Dodger stadium of all time.

this could turn out to be quite a pitching matchup.

Astros lefty Wandry Rodriuguez is one Astro we are very familiar with over the last few years. hes done a number at Dodger stadium. posting one of the lowest ERA's at Dodger stadium of any pitcher with as many innings pitched.  while he is 4-3 with a 2.40 ERA lifetime against the Dodgers, however at Dodger stadium hes been very good. he 3-2 with a 1.15 ERA, and hes allowed only 4 earned runs in over 31 innings pitched in five starts. this year against the league he is 8-8 with a 3.52 ERA.

Clayton Kershaw is looking to rebound from a rare tough loss last time out, as dumbass Cody Ransom ruined his bid for his 14th win. he should Maul through this weak Houston lineup. this could be another scoreless deadlock, but we will see.

AROUND THE MAJORS............

while this is a Dodger blog, we always try to bring you important news thats going on in and around baseball every now and then, and this news was pretty shocking involving cubs pitcher and resident mental case Carlos Zambrano. we all know and remember Zambrano's many legendary breakdowns and tantrums, but this one takes the cake, even for him.

as the Cubs were playing the braves last night in Atlanta, Zambrano allowed 8 runs through five innings, including five home runs. after pitching like crap, he decided to start beaning Braves players.
he beaned one, threw at two more, finally after throwing at Chipper Jones in the 5th inning, he was ejected. he was seen walking into the clubhouse smiling. once inside the clubhouse while his teammates were still on the field playing, he threw a tantrum, cleaned out his locker, and told clubhouse attendants he was quiting the team, and retiring, and left.

cubs manager, and players were shocked, and didnt know he had left until they entered the clubhouse after the game was over. according to reports, the Cubs players just sat silently in the clubhouse in shock. while cubs manager Mike Quade was very pised off. he had this to say.....

"He walked out on 24 guys that are battling their [butts] off," Quade said. "I don't know where he's gone or what he's doing. I heard he might retire, or he's talking about retiring. I can't have a guy walking out on 24 guys. That's for [darn] sure."

cubs third baseman Aramis Ramirez was also shocked and had no idea why Zambrano would be throwing at braves hitters...."I don't think the Braves did anything to deserve that," said Cubs third baseman Aramis Ramirez "They didn't hit any of our guys. They put their heads down and ran. I don't think they did anything wrong. There was no reason for him to throw at anybody."

Zambrano is well known for his dugout tantrums, and mental breakdowsn, he has punched and yelled at teammates, insulted his managers, and publicly called the cubs a "tripleA team to reports after a game. Zambrano is still owed 24 million dollars on a mindboggling 91.5 million dollar contract.
today the cubs announded placing Zambrano on the disqualified list, this means the cubs will have 30 days to decide what to do with him, meanwhile on the disqualified list, Zambrano cant have anything to do with the team, and will not be payed.
this behavior is disgusting and disgraceful. I truly feel sorry for Cubs fans and players. this is sickening. you never walk out on your teammates, ever. Kuroda would never ever do anything like that to us. maybe Zambrano needs to learn from Kuroda on how to have class, and be a real major league pitcher. I say good riddance to that mental case, the Cubs are better off without him. see Dodger fans, were not the only team having problems.

as far as the Dodgers go, there ready to play tonight, at 710PM. the game is televised on Prime Ticket. join us after the game for our nightly postgame recap. go blue
